All our customers with vet fee cover can get access to 24/7 video vet calls with FirstVet at no extra cost. It has many benefits:
Over 40,000 of our customers have used it to decide if their pet needs a trip to the vet or if it’s something they can manage at home.
Using FirstVet takes the stress out of getting a last minute vet appointment and getting there. The FirstVet app is easy to use. I was able to book in a video call at a time that was convenient to me and the service and I could not fault the attention and advice my dog and I received.

Frequently asked questions
We answer the most common questions about pet insurance.
Will I be covered immediately?
No, unless you’ve switched to us from another provider. Like most pet insurance plans there’s a ‘waiting period’ at the start. That means there’s a short period of time before you can make a claim.
For all our plans the waiting period is two weeks for illnesses and 48 hours for accidents. But if you previously had cover with another pet insurance provider and you were insured with them for 12 months or more and you switch to us with no break in cover, there’s no waiting period and you’ll have immediate cover.
Is dental treatment covered?
Dental cover for accidents is included in all our plans. Our Essential Care plan provides cover for dental accidents only, with a limit of £1,000 per policy year. Our Standard Care and Complete Care plans include cover for dental illness and accidents up to the vet fee limit.
Does ManyPets pay the vet direct?
It's a good idea to check with your vet that they will accept direct vet payments. Most of them do, however, it’s always best to check. If they are happy to do so, they may also be able to submit the claim on your behalf using our online claims portal for vets. If your vet is happy to submit the claim on your behalf for direct payment, this means that you do not need to also submit the claim to us as this will cause a duplicate and may delay the claim for you.
Not all Vets are able to assist our customers with submitting claims, which is why our customers can register claims via My Account, all you need to do is select your Vet as the Payee. You can enter up to two different vets. We are also able to pay a different vet – in the case of a referral, for example – then you can let us know in the comments box called ‘Almost there’ at the end.
