When are cats considered old in pet insurance terms?

Cats are considered old by insurers when they reach 8 years of age. While that might not seem old for a pet (or to its owners!), that’s the age from which they might be more susceptible to certain medical conditions.

Is pet insurance for older cats worth it?

We know how important your cat is, especially if it’s been part of your family for a long time. When your older cat develops medical issues, or picks up an injury, it’s comforting to know that you’ll have help paying for any vet bills, and that you’ll be able to keep your feline friend happy and healthy into their golden years.
