A city well-known for its cultural capital, Manchester is a fantastic place to live and visit - a thriving arts scene, lots of lovely green spaces, and a tonne of restaurants and bars to explore.
However, coffee is one of the most important markers of a city's vibrant soul, and Manchester doesn't disappoint. With its abundance of cosy cafes serving up delicious brews, it's no wonder that locals and visitors alike have a strong affinity for the city's coffee culture.
And what better way to enjoy a cup of joe than in the company of your dog? As such, we've selected five top dog-friendly cafes in Manchester for you to hit up.
Pollen
Everyone knows that coffee's best partner is a sweet, tasty pastry - that's why Pollen is top of our list in Manchester.
You'll find this sleek, modern cafe (did somebody say 'Scandi vibes'?) near the canals, meaning it doubles as a great pitstop after a morning stroll with your dog.
On weekends you may find queues out the door, but that's a testament to the place's popularity.
92 Degrees
The Liverpool coffee house makes its mark in Manchester - with three branches to hit up (including the city centre, Spinningfields and Salford).
The coffee here is the real deal. Their OG blend has tasty notes of dark berries and salted caramel, carried through by a chocolatey flavour. Gosh, we're salivating already.
Best of all, they're all proudly dog-friendly, which means there's no excuse not to visit!
Station South
Yes yes, this cafe is stunning - a glorious mock-Tudor railway station that hails all the way back from the late 1800s - but it's also a great demonstration of the value of heritage restoration.
In 2017, a group of Levenshulme residents clubbed together to turn the disused building into a destination cafe, bar, workshop, urban garden and community hangout - and what a great job they've done!
It's got lots of lovely walks around too, so you can make a day out of your visit.
Federal Cafe & Bar
We all know that Down Under is famous for its brunch fare, and Federal is on a mission to flex that prestigious reputation to Manchester with a number of locations throughout the city.
It's won countless awards (including the best cafe in the UK!), so no wonder it makes our list of favourites.
It can get busy so make sure to either get there early on a weekend or be prepared to queue.
Ezra & Gil
It's probably quite un-hip to call a place 'hip' these days, but that doesn't change the fact that Ezra & Gil is the epitome of hip.
This dog-friendly daytime hangout spot serves up delicious brunch options (their brioche french toast is mega, trust us) and a pretty tasty-looking lunch set, too.
