What is FirstVet?

FirstVet provides video appointments with UK-registered vets and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Their vets can help if you’re worried your pet is ill or has had a minor accident. They can offer advice, treatment recommendations, a referral to your local practice or just reassurance.

How to use FirstVet

You can access FirstVet from any mobile device, laptop or desktop computer.

You'll need a FirstVet account to be able to use the service.

How to set up a FirstVet account

  1. Head to firstvet.com

  2. Click on Book appointment

  3. You'll be prompted to sign in or sign up

  4. Follow the on-screen prompts

Click 'Book an appointment' and select ManyPets from the list of insurers

You can also sign up via My Account.

Attending appointments

How to attend appointments on a mobile device

  1. Download the FirstVet app from the App Store or Google Play

  2. You'll need to register with the same email address used for your ManyPets account

  3. Make sure you’ve turned notifications on

  4. Get ready for the camera, your vet will be video calling when it’s time for your appointment

How to attend appointments on a desktop or laptop

  1. Go to the ManyPets page on the FirstVet website

  2. Click on ‘Get Started'

  3. The policyholder will need to register with the same email address used for your ManyPets account

  4. When it’s time for your appointment you can enter the online waiting room and the vet will let you in when they’re ready

What if I don’t have a mobile phone?

Call FirstVet on 0330 808 1281 and somebody will help to get you started. They’re open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Once you’re ready, you’ll be able to have vet consultations through your desktop or laptop computer
