Opulent bar interior with ornate golden columns and intricate tiled pillars, featuring a well-lit bar counter, plush seating, and a 'REFUGE' neon sign in the background.

The Refuge

TOP DOG-FRIENDLY RESTAURANT • MANCHESTER

What a truly special venue. The Refuge is undoubtedly a Manchester landmark, thanks to its central location and iconic building. Housed within the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, it's a must-visit for special occasions or romantic date nights.

Midweek, you can grab a selection of their small plates - but here they're most famous for their Sunday roasts. The roast platter for two is, yes, a bit on the pricey side - but we've only heard good things, and it's worth splashing the cash.

The staff will bring out a bowl of water for your dog, and encourage dogs to sit up at the table (if well-behaved) rather than at your feet.

BEST BITS
  • Expertly made cocktails
  • Magnificent surroundings
  • Eclectic food offering
EDITOR'S THOUGHTS
It truly does not get more opulent than this - it's hard to believe that it's dog friendly!
