Bread and Bitter

TOP DOG-FRIENDLY BAR • NOTTINGHAM

This lovely, quirky spot - a former bakery - offers punters a selection of tasty beers from the local Castle Rock Brewery.

It's a dog-friendly spot. Reviewers say you're likely to find just as many pups as humans here, and it's a warm, cosy environment to find yourself in. There are multiple sections to nestle away in, too - including the traditional bar area, a big conservatory, dining space and outdoor seating.

The food here is often remarked as reliably good, with the roast gaining a near-local level of fame (that includes a vegan option, too!) Don't worry about the dogs either - they have water bowls and dog treats on hand to keep them happy.

BEST BITS
  • Must-have Sunday roast
  • Unique, historic building
  • Great selection of real ales
