How to get a multi-pet insurance quote
Start a quote and fill in the information for your first pet.
Follow through the steps until you see the option “add another pet”. Here you can add up to five pets online. For more than that, call us on 0345 340 4090.
Once all pets have been added, continue with your quote. A multi-pet discount of up to 15% will be applied at the end.
You'll get to pick a plan for each of your pets, each with its own vet fee limit and policy benefits. The plans will be under one payment and one renewal date.
If you already have a pet insured with us, log in to My Account.
On your dashboard, you’ll see the "Add a pet" option.
Fill out the information for the pet you’d like to add and choose a plan for them.
Once complete, you’ll get a quote for the additional pet(s) added. The quote will show a price that includes the discount for all pets.
All of your pets will be on one renewal date that's synced with the first pet you insured with us. Each pet will have its own plan, vet fee limit and policy benefits.

Yes, you can get a multi-pet discount for older pets of up to 15% and there’s no upper age limit for pets to be insured.
But things change when your pet gets older.
We don’t cover death from illness once a pet turns nine.
If you take out a policy with us after your pet's seventh birthday, you'll need to pay a 20% co-payment on each claim.
Co-payments are a fixed percentage you will pay for your pet's treatment. We calculate this percentage from your vet bill minus the excess.

A multi-pet plan covers the same things as a normal pet insurance plan. The main part of the policy is to cover vet fees to treat your pet for an accident or illness. All of our plans give you unlimited 24/7 video vet calls with FirstVet.
Pet insurance won’t cover things like routine procedures, vaccinations or grooming.

If your pet has been free from signs, symptoms, treatment, medication or advice for the last two years before your policy start date, you’ll likely be able to pick any of our plans. If you've got more than one pet, you can get up to 15% multi-pet discount.
If your pet has had signs, symptoms, treatment, medication or advice for an issue within the two years before your policy starts, it’s classed as pre-existing. We can cover those conditions under our Standard Care Pre-existing plan, once the condition has been free from signs, symptoms, treatment, medication advice for three months before the policy start date.

You can insure up to five pets (cats and dogs combined) on the same plan when buying our insurance online. However, if you wish to add more pets you can – just give our friendly customer service team a call and they’ll sort it for you.
