Nottingham offers so much to do, that it's nearly essential to have a list of dog-friendly spots along the way for a pick-me-up.
We've handpicked our five favourite dog-friendly cafes in Nottingham to keep you and your pup going.
1. Crimson Tree
You can't miss the famous Sherwood area if you're visiting Nottingham, and Crimson Tree is the ideal spot to unwind if you're there. You can't really miss it thanks to its bright yellow doorway, flowery columns and vibrant paintwork.
Thankfully, the colourful design extends to the venue's warm welcome and extensive menu. It's a popular dog-friendly café for Nottingham locals, and the Persian Eggs get some serious props.
Dogs can enjoy treats, some water and they're welcome to chill inside with you as you relax.
2. Cured
This canalside cafe and bar is a relaxing place to unwind for you and your dog. We recommend getting a seat near the big windows, so you and your pup can watch Nottingham's boats go by.
The coffee has its fans, but they offer puppuccinos too, meaning both you and your dog can get your fix. There are other drinks too, so a glass of wine (or two) is there if you fancy!
It's a short walk from Nottingham train station, making it a perfect rest stop if you've just arrived or are setting off soon.
Good views, friendly staff and decent food - what more do you want from a dog-friendly café?
3. Fox Cafe
Near Old Market Square, Fox Cafe is a spot if you want something small and cosy with traditional home comforts.
The gourmet sandwiches and paninis get rave reviews, and the English Breakfast is one of the best in Nottingham: thick, tasty bacon, satisfying scrambled eggs and a variety of options.
They're truly dog-friendly too, with a lot of their regulars being four-legged.
4. Blend
Pastries, cakes and coffee: Blend does the classics right, and it stands out thanks to its distinct atmosphere.
The colourful interiors and greenery make it feel unique, with the spot being known for hosting a variety of artistic workshops and events.
The coffee gets rave reviews, with blends from Stewarts of Trent Bridge. It's a good spot if you're a coffee aficionado.
It's dog-friendly too, with a dog life drawing class if you're so inclined!
5. Yolk
But what about breakfast? Well, there's only one clear winner for us here: the aptly named Yolk. It's known as being one of Nottingham's best breakfast spots, with plenty of pastries, Eggs Benedict and coffee to go around.
It's not just a morning thing, either - they have an excellent coffee and pastry deal between 3 and 5 pm every weekday, and we're sure you'll make the most of the late afternoon pick-me-up.
It's a bright, funky place to go, with vegan options. Being dog-friendly is just a bonus.
