Frequently asked questions about puppy and dog insurance
Why choose ManyPets over other dog insurance providers?
Because ManyPets will reimburse you for the costs of diagnosing and treating any illness or injury that could possibly befall your pup. That includes some super important things that many other providers don’t cover, including virtual visits, hereditary conditions, and dental illnesses.
Oh, and our rates are among the best in the country, starting at just $20 a month for dogs.
How much does dog insurance cost?
It starts at $20 per month. Things can vary from there depending on your dog’s age and breed. You can also make customized changes to your price by adjusting factors such as deductible, co-insurance, and annual limits.

What does dog insurance not cover?
Dog insurance doesn’t cover claims that aren’t accident- or illness-related (though our wellness plan does cover routine preventive care). Insurance also doesn’t cover claims filed during an initial waiting period. But unlike many other companies, we will cover your dog for a pre-existing condition if they’ve been symptom- and treatment-free for 18 months.

Do all vets accept dog insurance?
Most vets don’t work directly with insurance companies; instead, pet parents simply submit their claim directly to ManyPets, and we’ll reimburse you directly. Pick any vet of your choice, and we’ll cover you.
Does dog insurance cover spaying and neutering?
Alas, no. No pet insurance provider covers spaying or neutering. You should still totally have your dog spayed or neutered though - it’s incredibly important.
Does dog insurance cover pre-exisiting conditions?
Unlike most other companies, ManyPets will cover treatment for pre-existing conditions under certain circumstances - specifically, when pet has been free of symptoms and treatment for 18 months.
Of course, the easiest way to make sure pre-existing conditions never become a problem is to insure your pup when they’re still young.
